What are some careers in drug rehabilitation?

I am interested in a career in a drug rehabilitation center, which some jobs? I know most people in the area have had problems with drugs and, although I personally do not I have my father, his parents and his grandfather are severe alcoholics. Someone asked the same question recently: Over 90% of the rehabilitation centers in the U.S. 12step is based AA / NA. Most of the other is Narconon, a Scientology-based program, or very religious. Courts, public agencies and programs to assist employees 12step term rehabilitation centers. Almost everyone who works in rehabilitation 12step had his own problems with alcohol or drugs, and members of AA / NA. I'm sure you do not want to go out and be a drug addict or alcoholic to qualify. The pay is not very good, and there is high turnover due to recurrence, but many who work in rehabilitation centers have a history of irregular employment and a kind of arrest record making it the best you can get. What you can do a number of courses in Human Services, and the first things to see if that is what you really want to do over the last twenty years or so, Case 16, which is considered as AA's "religious character" 12step order management and a violation of the establishment section. Hopefully more will follow soon. What this means for you is that there are several treatment options that are not based 12step the coming years. I am a mental health worker, I work for a program (ACT Powerful Community Treatment), especially those living with abuse. We use motivational interviewing with our customers. About half of all people with a mental illness have substance abuse problems and about half of people with addictions have a mental disorder. Integrated treatment is the treatment of both problems is a growing area. It was considered cons-productive to use two different methods of treatment, especially when they often feel in conflict with each contact me. [EDIT] It is not enough to be informed, in a work rehabilitation 12step they want the personal experience of people in AA or NA. You want people who are "preaching the good word." If you study psychology, you can use either a career of alcohol and drug research psychologist or are studying to become an addiction professional guide .
